Location: Providence, RI

Responsibilities: Corp Brothers, a premier supplier of industrial, medical & specialty gases, welding supplies & related equipment, is currently seeking a Chemist Lab Technician in Providence, RI.

You will be responsible for analyzing medical industrial and specialty gases; performing conformance testing with gas chromatographs and process gas analyzers, conducting assignments in the plant, field or lab; providing technical data including conducting production tests and troubleshooting; analyzing technical aspects of projects and determining methods and techniques to be used and principles to be applied; utilizing or adapting standard methods of procedure; preparing periodic and final progress reports; and directing activities of other professionals and technicians.

Requirements: This position requires a degree in Chemistry or related science with a minimum of 3 years recent industrial experience. The daily requirements will be hands on analysis, extensive operations and repair on all gas chromatograph equipment and general maintenance of the instrumentation. Technical skills include good technical report writing / record keeping / communication / mathematical, experience in performing chemical analysis (gas testing preferred). Candidate must be creative, resourceful and capable of working independently or with a minimal amount of guidance after an initial training period is completed.
